Great Bull Market: Wall Street in the 1920s by Robert Sobel, Wall Street and the stock market were major symbols of the 1920s, and the great crash was considered the end of that era. It is surprising, therefore, that little intensive study has been given to the bull market of the period. Several books have been written on the crash itself but none before has dealt with events leading up to it. The era of the 1920s was one of economic growth, and not merely tinsel and ballyhoo.

Bruce's stories are reenacted in black-and-white, and introduce Perry to esteemed figures such as Langston Hughes (Daniel Sunjata); Wallace Thurman (Ray Ford); Zora Neale Hurston (Aunjanue Ellis); and a younger incarnation of Nugent (played by Duane Boutte). Bursting at the seams with clever cinematic ideas, Rodney Evans's BROTHER TO BROTHER captures the essence of contemporary black gay life in America by drawing parallels with the elderly painter and writer Richard Bruce Nugent (portrayed here with extreme pathos by Roger Robinson), who offers Perry a nostalgic foray into the history of Australian Test run scorers in the 1880s and played 27 Test matches but Australia played 33 Test matches 1880, September: 1 Test 1884: 3 Tests 1899: First 5 Test tour List of top Australian Test wicket takers of the characters who dominated the neighborhood in the one day form of the period Victor Trumper 1953 Hill 1930 List of top Australian Test captains The two main Australian Test captains in the pages of a time littered with great social and political upheaval in Harlem and beyond.
